What I Bring In My Carry On

I have learned that what I bring in my carry on is extremely important. There have been many flights where I have sat for hours, bored out of my mind. I just got back from a trip with several long flights, so my carry on became my best friend. This is what I brought on my latest trip…

My current carry on:

I just got back from a trip to Italy (blog post coming soon) and while I was there I shopped at some of the most fantastic leather markets. I found this bag at my favorite leather market in Florence, Massimo Leather.

Massimo Leather Address: Borgo la Noce, 13/15R, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy

Pencil Bag

This is not your traditional “pencil bag.” This bag is from Stephanie Johnson and she has tons of different styles. In my bag I have several different pens (in different colors of course), headphones, Kapari Lip Balm (see my blog post..Lip Locked: Lippies I Love), hand cream, and my Nurse Jamie Instant Uplift (see my blog post…Best Beauty Tools). These are a few items I can not live without on a flight, and they are all stored in my pencil bag.

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I journal every single day. I have journaled every day for four years now and it is one of my favorite things to do. I have a couple different journals that I write in and I take them with me everywhere, even on flights. With my journals I have my Jesus Calling devotional, so this also goes in my carry on.

Phone Charger/Portable Charger

I rarely go on any trips without my Mophie portable charger. It always comes to the rescue and I wouldn’t imagine going on a flight without this life saver. I also pack a regular charger to in the case the plane as an outlet.

I do not go on a plane without a book. I am an avid reader, so I always bring a book or two on the plane with me, My worst nightmare is getting onto the plane and finishing my book with time to spare, which is why I usually bring two. *blog post on the most recent books I’ve read coming soon*

Although you can get water on the plane, I love to bring bottle for myself. I usually get a liter in the airport after I make it past security. It is super important to stay hydrated when traveling, especially at high altitudes.

The last thing I always have when flying is a sweater, sweatshirt or pullover. There have been so many times when I’ve been miserable because I am freezing cold on a plane. Its easy to shove a pullover into my carry on or tie it around my waist.
