I am obsessed with face masks, if you can’t tell by the multiple blog posts about my favorite masks (click here to read more). It is very rare that I find a mask that I do not like, but if that’s the case I completely stay away from them. It’s always best to try a sample of a face mask before you use it, but if you don’t have time to do that take my word for it and do NOT use these masks.
**DISCLAIMER** people have such different skin types and everyone’s skin reacts differently to different things. If one of these masks is your favorite, don’t worry about it!
This mask from Sephora completely burned my face. I followed all of the directions that were on the package and had no issue after using the mask besides a little redness which is normal for me. I used it right before bed and then went to sleep. When I woke up my face was blistered and raw. My skin was burned in the exact shape that the mask was on my face. Needless to say I do not recommend this mask.
I wouldn’t recommend this mask and I would never repurchase it. I only used the mask once and I haven’t opened it up back since. The first issue is the overwhelming pumpkin smell. While pumpkin spice is great in the fall, no one wants to smell it constantly. Secondly the exfoliation in this mask was a little harsh and caused my skin to sting after application. Also, this is not a cheap mask. Make sure to invest your money in something you love.
This mask made my skin sting and smelt disgusting. I got this mask as a sample from Sephora so I am very glad I did not purchase a big one. I have used many clay masks in my day and this is the all time worst. It did nothing for my skin and like I said, made my skin sting. I do not believe it was the argon oil in the mask considering I use Josie Maran argon oil with no problem. Whatever it was that irritated my skin, I will not be using this mask again. I was using the scent Sweet Citrus, and maybe this had something to do with my not liking the mask.
I am a HUGE Glam Glow fan, but I would never repurchase this mask. I love their firming formula and I continue to use that mask before events. I don’t like this glitter version in particular because I feel like it is very unnatural and contains too many chemicals. While the glitter mask is a GREAT photo opp, I am going to stick to more natural masks in the future instead of “fun” masks that leave my skin with no benefit.
